1200lbs Magnet for External Doors

Magnet Locks – Maglocks – Electro Magnetic Lock

The electromagnets in the 1200lbs Magnet for External Doors work via a magnetic field securing the maglock to the door armature plate via an electrical current passing through a coil. Magnetic Locks offer “fail safe” locking meaning when the power is cut the magnetic field drops releasing the door armature plate from the maglock allowing entry.

Magnetic locks are suitable for different applications including Mortice (Flush fitting),  mini magnetic lock, surface mount mini magnetic lock, surface mount double mini magnetic lock, surface mount standard and surface mount (Side fix or face fix) external magnetic lock versions.

The power will be automatically turned off by the user and gains access through a reader. Access control systems are operated by one of the peripheral devices (ie. hand and fingerprint readers, keypads, card readers etc, to identify whether the user access is permitted or not.  The magnetic lock is a simple locking device that consists of a magnetic lock and armature plate with no moving parts and it works purely due to the magnetic field. Therefore the magnetic lock is truly fail-safe (Power to lock). The magnetic lock is met with both security and fire safety requirements as well as also being available for emergency exit doors.

The Magnetic lock/Maglock uses an electrical current to produce a magnetic force. The magnetic locks are made with an epoxy potting compound and is protected by this compound, which ensures a long life for the lock. With these above lock characteristics, the electromagnetic lock has become one of the most commonly used access control lock for security engineers all across the country.

We offer a wide variety of Door Entry and Access Control Systems and solutions – of which can be used in an extensive amount of situations – from controlled access to an office, hospital, club or any type of workplace – we will always have the solution for you!
