The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) became law in 1995, meaning that all establishments open to the public had to provide access for those with a disability. In terms of security and door entry, this means the addition of automatic doors or push to exit buttons.

Push to exit buttons can be installed as a surface or flush fitting at a suitable height and distance for wheelchair users. A surface fitting means it will be mounted on the wall, whilst a flush fitting means it will be fitted into the wall which may be ideal for smaller spaces.

Access Security provides both DDA exit buttons and mounting boxes to ensure your business complies with this law. A variety of shapes, sizes and fittings are available to ensure there is a solution for everyone.
